Coffee Plant Care Process Using the Company's Nutritional Solutions
Minh Hung AMTSC focuses on 3 core stages: Recovery - Flower bud differentiation, nurturing young fruit - Late-season fruit setting to optimize yield and prevent physiological fruit drop.
Below is a detailed guide for each growth cycle of commercial coffee plants:
1. Post-harvest recovery phase & stimulation of new roots (Dry season)
The goal of this stage is to help the plants recover quickly after the previous harvest and promote the simultaneous differentiation of flower buds.
- Cleaning & Pruning: Cut off old branches, diseased branches, and ineffective branches so that the tree can concentrate on nutrition.
- Spraying (irrigation) phase 1: use MIHU ORFAXTRA/ORGAFARM BASIC product with Humic Acid to stimulate the growth of young hairy roots, regenerate the root system and thick green foliage to prepare for flower cultivation. Mix 1 liter of product with 400 liters of water (1 Ha of coffee requires 10-12 liters of product).
- Squeeze the water to create flower buds: stop watering until the crab eyes (flower buds) begin to sprout, showing the leaf axils clearly.
- Watering stage 1: carry out drenching watering combined with watering the product.
MIHUORFAXTRA/ORGAFARM BASIC (second application) helps flowers bloom uniformly and simultaneously.
2.Young fruit development stage (Early rainy season).
Young fruits are very susceptible to physiological fruit drop due to nutrient deficiencies, and the trees are easily infected with rust and pink mold.
-
Fungal disease control: Use FUN-PROTEK, mixing 6kg of the product with 2400 liters of water and spraying per hectare.
-
Promoting rapid fruit growth: Use MH NPK 8-4-8 liquid fertilizer (Poly-Liquid with added ME and 5% Amino Acid). The Amino Acid and Chelate trace element compounds help the plant absorb nutrients immediately, resulting in round, evenly shaped fruits, faster fruit development, and healthy growth of reserve branches. Mix 2 liters of the product with 200 liters of water. 24 liters of product are needed per hectare.
3. Growth and Grain Formation Stage (Mid-rainy season)
- Preventing Fruit Drop & Cracking: Apply MH NK 14-16 + 12.1Ca supplemental spray. The high calcium content in this product minimizes fruit cracking, blossom end rot, and prevents premature fruit drop due to stronger fruit stalks. Dosage: 200g/plant, approximately 250kg per hectare (Note: Apply only to the base of the plant, do not spray).
- Combine with MH MULTI (micronutrients) to supplement macro and micronutrients for the plant. Mix 2kg with 600 liters of water and spray per hectare.
4.Fruit development stage in preparation for harvest (Late rainy season).
This stage determines the weight and quality of marketable green coffee beans.
- Increase starch accumulation: Continue foliar spraying of the company's high-potassium fertilizer to support nutrient transport to the kernels, resulting in larger, firmer, heavier kernels that ripen uniformly.
- Use MH STIM (0-44-44) product, mixing 1kg with 200 liters of water; 3kg of product is needed per hectare.
Technical mixing notes from the Minh Hung Team:
When mixing pesticides or fertilizers for irrigation/spraying coffee plantations, farmers need to adhere to the following mixing principles:
- Calcium-containing products are very "selective" in terms of particle size and easily react with base fertilizers or sulfate/phosphate-based fertilizers, causing precipitation. Therefore, calcium-containing products should be sprayed/irrigated separately.
- Minh Hung's chelated micronutrient fertilizers are extremely soluble and safe when mixed with other agricultural chemicals.

IN ADDITION, MINH HUNG COMPANY ALSO HAS SPECIAL PRODUCTS THAT HELP COFFEE PLANTS STAY HEALTHY, RESIST DISEASES, AND INCREASE YIELD.
1. ENVIRO-SOL "Smart Root Stimulation" mechanism on coffee plants.
- Detoxifying and cleaning the soil to nourish roots: ENVIRO-SOL contains a pair of enzymes that quickly break down toxins from pesticide residues, harmful chemicals, and organic poisoning in the soil. Only when the soil is clean and free from toxins can young roots sprout vigorously.
- Destroying root-damaging fungi: Beneficial bacteria such as Bacillus subtilis and Lactobacillus attack and isolate parasitic fungi (such as nematodes and root rot fungi), creating an absolutely safe environment for the development of fine root tips.
- Transforming insoluble nutrients into easily absorbable ones: This biological product quickly breaks down undissolved organic matter, releasing nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium fixed in the soil into easily absorbable forms to nourish a healthy root system.
Standard dosage: Mix 1 kg of ENVIRO-SOL with 400-500 liters of water. Depending on the age of the tree, apply 5-10 liters of solution per tree. (Do not mix with pesticides or fungicides. Allow 7-10 days between applications of chemical pesticides and fungicides.)
2. Mechanism of action of PARA-KNOT in treating nematodes.
-
Main ingredients: Neem oil extract combined with specific organic compounds.
-
Direct effects: The bioactive compounds in neem oil paralyze the nervous system, inhibit molting, destroy eggs, and directly kill harmful nematodes (Meloidogyne spp. and Pratylenchus coffeae) parasitic in the soil and roots.
-
Root system protection: Helps clean the soil around the plant, isolates nodules, prevents root rot and blackening, and creates conditions for healthy new root growth.
Dosage: Mix 200 ml of PARA-KNOT solution with 200 liters of water (equivalent to 1 bottle of 1 liter solution for 1,000 liters of water / 5 drums). Depending on the age of the tree, apply 5-10 liters of solution per tree.
3. VIUSID Agro detoxification application for coffee plants.
- Detoxification from fertilizer/pesticide poisoning: When the garden is sprayed with excessive amounts of fungicides/insecticides, or over-fertilized (such as potassium shock, root burn due to excess nitrogen), VIUSID Agro will break down excess chemical bonds, helping plant cells eliminate toxins.
- Detoxification from soil acidity and organic poisoning at the roots: Helps the root system recover quickly, preventing root tip blackening due to acidic soil or undissolved organic waste residue.
- Protection against weather shock (environmental stress): Detoxifies free radical acids produced when plants experience extreme weather conditions such as continuous heavy rain causing root suffocation, frost, prolonged drought, or heat shock during seasonal changes.
